Family members have met condemned war criminal Jamaat-e-Islami ‘moneyman’ Mir Quasem Ali at Kashimpur Central Jail in Gazipur.
Quasem’s wife Khondker Ayesha Khatun, son Mir Ahmed Bin Quasem, two daughters Tahera Tasnim and Sumaya Rabea, daughter-in-law Syeda Tahmida Akter met him at a room of Kashimpur Central Jail-2 around 12:30pm.
The spent around half-a-hour together there. Quasem has been kept there son since his arrest in 2012.
Top Jamaat-e-Islami financier Quasem, now 64, was president of the Chittagong town unit of Islami Chhatra Sangha, the then student wing of Jamaat, till November 6, 1971.
He was then made general secretary of the East Pakistan Chhatra Sangha.
